I went for another run on Friday in my minimal running shoes. I felt much less tension in my calves this week. I focused more on relaxing my lower body, especially my feet and the tension melted away. I can only guess that being slightly apprehensive made me tense up my feet before impact last week.I was out for about 25 minutes but could have gone for more. I’m very conscious of letting my feet gradually get used to less protection when running.
